Christian Education

The people of St. Mark's are involved in life-long Christian education

Children are an important part of St. Mark’s family and are welcome at all services and events. While children are welcome anywhere in the church, for the convenience of families a space is reserved for tots at the back of the church.

Church School provides for the Christian formation of young people from pre-Kindergarten through High School. Each
Sunday children gather at 8:45 a.m. in their classrooms: Music and songs are part of the program for younger children in preparation for singing in the service. Our curriculum offers lessons on the life of Jesus, the Bible, history of the Church, and the sacraments. Young people are encouraged to discuss issues and apply learning’s to today’s world.

The Junior and Senior High group focus on development of the person physically, mentally, and spiritually. Familiarity with the Bible and the Book of Common Prayer is a major goal. The sharing of ideas and experiences is particularly encouraged.  Preparation for Confirmation for Senior High students is a part of this curriculum, when the students are ready for this.

The meeting rooms are all on the second floor of the Parish House.
