Our Worship

We are glad that you are here for worship. St. Mark's is a traditional Episcopal Church, part of the Anglican Communion, a worldwide church family. We follow the Book of Common Prayer, the blue book in the pew. We also use the red 1982 Hymnal and the Lift Every Voice and Sing II hymnal. We provide a service leaflet to assist in following the liturgy. Since our heritage is both Catholic and Protestant in its traditions, our worship includes hearing the Word and participating in the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion. All others are invited to come forward to receive a blessing (arms crossed over the chest indicate this desire.) We want all people to feel a part of this family of Christ here at St. Mark's Church.
