Saint Mark's Episcopal Church
|
We are glad that you are here for worship. St. Mark's is a traditional Episcopal Church, part of the Anglican Communion, a worldwide church family. We follow the Book of Common Prayer, the blue book in the pew. We also use the red 1982 Hymnal and the Lift Every Voice and Sing II hymnal. We provide a service leaflet to assist in following the liturgy. Since our heritage is both Catholic and Protestant in its traditions, our worship includes hearing the Word and participating in the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion. All others are invited to come forward to receive a blessing (arms crossed over the chest indicate this desire.) We want all people to feel a part of this family of Christ here at St. Mark's Church. Our Weekly Worship Schedule Sunday Services and Christian Education 7:45 a.m. Holy Eucharist A reflective liturgy with sermon 9:00 a.m. Adult Forum 9:00 a.m. Church School 10:00-11:15 Child Care, infants and toddlers 10:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist With sermon, music and hymns. 11:15 a.m. Coffee and Fellowship Hour 5:30 p.m. Celebración de La Santa Eucarístia Sunday Summer Schedule - July and August 7:45 a.m. Holy Eucharist 9:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist held in courtyard (weather permitting) Monday7:00 a.m. Prayer Group-Saunders Library Tuesday 9:00 a.m. Morning Prayer - Chapel Thursday 12:00 noon Noonday Prayer - Chapel Holy Days As announced St. Mark's is an Open Door Episcopal Church inviting all people, through Word and Sacrament, to reach out and seek and serve Christ in all peopleMission Statement February 2004147 West Main Street, New Britain, CT 06052 Parish Office: (860) 225-7634 Fax: (860) 832-8803 e-mail: saintmarksnb@juno.com web Site - www.stmarksnewbritain.org San Marcos Office: (860) 225-7634 ext. 204 Our Doors Are Open for You!
